What is the iTero Digital Scanner?

The iTero Digital Scanner is an innovative piece of orthodontic technology. A digital scanner lets our team get a clear picture of your teeth. Small and comfortable to use, the scanner allows us to take accurate records of your teeth and jaws to determine the best treatment which you will benefit the most from.

These records appear in 3D images; this will give us the best picture possible of what your teeth and jaws currently look like. Also, this lets us see how they’ll be improved after treatment. The real bonus is that you can see the results we can achieve even before we start. During the impression process, you can breathe or swallow as you normally would. You can even pause during the process if you need to sneeze or just want to ask a question.

The Clear Way to Straighten

Invisalign® uses a pair of transparent aligners which are moulded to the exact shape of your teeth using 3D computer imaging. These Invisalign® aligners are so comfortable to wear that you will soon forget that they are there – they are also invisible when worn.

The Invisalign® aligners can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing your teeth, but otherwise are worn continuously. Every fortnight the aligners are replaced by the next pair in the series so that your teeth are slowly moving and straightening without pain or discomfort. The use of aligners exerts a controlled force on the teeth: at different stages in the process, only certain teeth will be allowed to move.
